Water Street Studios Live Art Series Presents: An Evening of Tap & Jazz Featuring Mark Yonally. June 23rd from 6 to 9 p.m. Doors open at 6, and the performance begins at 6:30. Beer, wine, soda, and water will be available for purchase, with a $5 suggested donation.
Mark Yonally is the Artistic Director of Chicago Tap Theatre, one of the most critically well-regarded companies in Chicago. He has developed a national and international reputation as a performer, with solo performances in Chicago, Kansas City, Albuquerque, Amsterdam and Paris. Mark has been blessed to have Sarah Petronio, Dianne Walker, Bill Evans and Billy Siegenfeld as mentors.
Mark and the Punctuations will be presenting two sets of tap dance and live jazz with an emphasis on tap dance history being woven between the songs in each set. Featuring the crystalline tone of Olivia Flanigan and flanked by one of the finest rhythm sections in Chicago, this will be an evening of dance and music to remember. Olivia Flanigan is the vocalist, Mike Harmon is on bass, and Dan Pierson at the piano.
