Don’t miss the opening of Water Street Studios’ newest exhibition featuring the work of Diane Levesque and Anke Korioth. The reception will be held this Friday, February 9th from 6:00-9:00pm in the Dempsey Family Gallery.
From Water Street about the artists:
Diane’s fanciful paintings combine reappearing motifs of opposites—the strange and beautiful, dark and light, uncanny and familiar. She says, “There is satisfaction that comes from understanding life complexities, enlarging our way of living and gaining insights into ourselves and the world we live in.”
Anke’s colorful mixed-media paintings integrate the chaos, connection and close proximity absorbed from her travels around the world and her European roots. She said, “In my paintings I consider the relationships between abstraction and representation, exploring a fusion of both elements as I try to convey the essence of place through color, form and texture.”
The work of Maureen Warren will also be on view in the second floor Kane County Chronicle Gallery.
