Alleviate the stress of framing for Plein Air shows by being prepared in advance. Tina will guide you through her tips and tricks to making sure your framing experience is quick and painless.
About the speaker:
Tina Druce-Hoffman is a professional illustrator, graphic designer and instructor. Because she believes that drawing from life outside of the studio sharpens artist’s skills, she is also an enthusiastic En Plein Air Artist. When unable to enjoy the out-of-doors she paints florals and still lives as well as indulging in creating fantastical and whimsical illustrations. Currently, Tina is scratching the surface of dry-point etching and enjoying the results.
Her tabletop gaming illustration work includes the Collectable Card Games; The Wheel of TimeTM, 7th Sea Collectible Card GameTM, Legend of the Five Rings Collectible Card Game, Warlord: Saga of the Storm and RIFTSTM.
She also illustrated the book The Survival Guide for Working Moms published by Quill, the office supply company she designed at for over 11 years. She illustrated and composed the graphic design for Sylvia’s Story: The Chicago River Tragedy of the S.S. Eastland and Little Fido by Mary G. Furlong.
Fresh work is added weekly to her Instagram account, @artbytinadh. Tina is well versed many art mediums and many crafts due to her insatiable curiosity.
She has taught art over 10 years at locations such as Artbox in Saint Charles, Kane County Forest Preserve district, and now she teaches classes and workshops at the Fine Line Creative Arts Center in St. Charles, IL.
Monthly Coffee Talks
Come enjoy creative community, connectivity, coffee, and lively conversation. Coffee talks occur on the third Tuesday of each month and are free to the community.
This is a great way to connect with local artists in the area who share your passions and interests!
Coffee talks have presenting speakers that span a variety of topics, monthly; however, each month allows for an engaging and interactive forum amongst community members.
