In 2009, four members of the St. Charles Fine Art Show began discussions about

forming an organization that would bring more focus to the existing arts organizations in

St. Charles. In 2010, Carol and John Abel, Elizabeth Bellaver and Sue McDowell formed the

St. Charles Arts Council.

A 501C3 organization, whose mission is to serve and promote the arts and cultural

activities in St. Charles to the mutual benefit of artists and the community.

The ARC (Arts Resource Center) opened in downtown St. Charles on February 2025.

The 1800 sf. of gallery space is now a home to showcase and sell artwork by local and regional artists.

With the support of our artists, community, city leaders, and our passionate team at the St. Charles Arts Council we are

honored to continue growing awareness, creative expression and have a positive economic impact to our city and the arts!
